LearnLink is a project of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), implemented by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) in Washington. One of the activities in this project is the development of an intervention model: "computer-mediated professional development for teachers" (CMPD). I assisted in the development of the CMPD model by carrying out research on existing CMPD activities in developing country contexts. I provided an inventory of activities and their evaluations, summarized lessons learned and made recommendations for CMPD related projects. In addition I drafted a case study on the Creating Learning Networks for African Teachers project, implemented by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Higher Education, supported by Learning Without Frontiers, UNESCO.
